The British Curry Awards established in 2005 is an annual event which celebrates the British Curry industry. The awards ceremony has been dubbed as “Britain’s Curry Oscars” and is one of the biggest events in the hospitality industry. The awards ceremony celebrates the creativity, hard work and talent of those people behind the fantastic Indian dining experience we have today in Britain.
In 2011 Dower House won the first prize for the Best Indian Restaurant in the North West region, beating the rest of the curry houses in the region. In 2012 we secured runner up position for the Best Indian Restaurant in the North East region. We were honoured to be nominated for such a prestigious award and to win and be runner up in 2 regions demonstrates our hard work and dedication to providing a high quality dining experience for all of our guests.
